About Us

About Sarah

The Wag Factor was started in 2015 by Sarah Rosenthal, with her husband Noah, along for the ride. After struggling to find passion and fulfillment at her office job, she decided to create a business that would bring joy to humans and animals alike. Thus, The Wag Factor was born! Having an extreme passion for animals, she and Noah both knew the business would thrive off helping others take care of their beloved pet. The Wag Factor is co-owned and operated by both Sarah and Noah.

Sarah's operates this business full time, while Noah is a full time ICU nurse at MUSC in downtown Charleston. In their spare time, they love to hang with their two rescue Cockapoos, Moe and Louie. They enjoy going to the beach, working out, trying out new restaurants, cooking, and enjoying anything local that Charleston has to offer!

Since 2015, The Wag Factor has given peace of mind to local pet parents so they don't have to feel stressed about the wellbeing of their furry friend. The Wag Factor specializes in daily dog walks. Our goal is to help the busy, working class community take care of their pups. Dogs thrive on exercise and attention. Some benefits of daily dog walking include good weight management, combating boredom, socialization for your dog, and less stress which means less messes.

Our Walkers

Originally from the Philadelphia area, Chris moved to the Lowcountry with her husband, two daughters and multiple pets in 2006.  Prior to her move, Chris spent 18 years as a Preschool/Kindergarten Teacher and a Summer Camp Director, however she took a leap of faith and opened a packing and shipping business with her brother in South Carolina.  That business has morphed into a printing and digital marketing business where Chris continues to serve as the Accountant and Treasurer.

A grandmother two times over (with a third on the way), Chris lives with her actor husband, two crazy but very lovable dogs and a loud-mouthed parrot on Daniel Island.  An animal lover from her earliest days, Chris has always been surrounded by a variety of pets, including some quite exotic ones.  She grew up with Great Danes—she helped birth a litter of 12 puppies--St Bernards and Poodles, as well as a handful of cats of all varieties.  Her family’s menagerie also included a Spider Monkey and a Skunk.

In her spare time, Chris loves to play tennis, relax on the beach with a good book, kayak and paddle-board, spend time with her grandbabies, and travel.

In addition to being an avid dog walker, Nat is a stage actor, writer, painter, voice over professional, ride-share driver, and a positively mediocre tennis player. For thirty years he ran a solo-act graphic design and advertising business. He has been married for 42 years to his wife Chris who is also a Wag Factor dog walker and pet sitter. He is a father of two wonderful daughters, and the grandfather of two, with a third in production.

When he’s not on stage, on the road, or on an enjoyable walk with your furry family, Nat enjoys being with his lovable Labradoodle Luka, his entitled Cocker Spaniel ZoС, and his demanding parrot Miz Scarlett. Over the

years, Nat and Chris have been owned by more dogs than we can count, several cats, and the usual assortment of fish, turtles, hermit crabs, and guinea pigs. Oh, and at one point, a skunk.

Cassie lives in Mount Pleasant with her husband and their two young sons. After living in Long Island most of her life, she was excited to move somewhere new, not to mention, to one of the most beautiful places in the country! Cassie is a lover of both dogs and cats and has grown up with both. She loves meeting and taking care of everyone who's part of The Wag Factor Family and is thrilled to be able to do this.

When Cassie isn't walking dogs, her family loves to explore all that Charleston has to offer! As a self proclaimed foodie, they love checking out the best BBQ spots and new restaurants that come to town. She loves to spend time at the beach and enjoys working out and running. She is always down to try a new workout! Cassie is thrilled she gets to spend ample time with her sons and family and loves the balance that The Wag Factor provides for her.

Diane and her family have been in Mount Pleasant for 24 years! Her and her husband of 18 years have 2 sons, both in college at Clemson University. Diane worked professionally for 10 years before becoming a stay at home mom while their sons were growing up. She was so lucky to be able to do this and cherishes all the memories! Previously, Diane worked at a church preschool. She loves kids and dogs alike!

In her spare time, Diane enjoys exploring all the restaurant our beautiful city has to offer, going to the beach,  boating, and walking her 10 year old Shnoodle Bear. She's known in her neighborhood for walking her dog at least 4 times a day and he loves the exercise! Diane and her husband attend as many Clemson home games as they can and they love to be there to support their team.

Diane loves now being able to spend her weekdays outside with your pups, and she looks forward to walking into happy, tail-wagging pups!

Richard recently moved with his wife Sharon to Mount Pleasant from Stamford, CT (although they are both originally from London, England). They have been loving the opportunity to experience this stunning area and are very much looking forward to avoiding North East winters.  Richard previously worked in the Financial Services industry (in IT Management), and more recently in Sales in the automobile industry (Brand Manager etc.).

Richard has been married to Sharon for 28 years, and they have 2 daughters, Laura (27), who recently married Joe in Portugal (which was amazing!), and Josie (25) - Both still live in Stamford, CT.

Richard has always had dogs throughout his life, most recently Cali an English black Labrador. His family have continued the tradition, Laura has a rescue Pom mix called Jackson (he was found on Jackson St. in Stamford) and a 10 year old Shiba Inu named Lola. Josie has Olly who is a 2 year old Pomeranian (he is a cute handful).

Apart from exploring Richard’s new area and enjoying the flexibility of taking care of the Wag Factors wonderful clients (both the four legged and two legged varieties), Richard is also looking forward to getting back into playing some golf.

Born and raised in NY, I came to Charleston for a 3-month travel nurse assignment in 1992 and never
left! Married for 25 years with 2 grown boys and 2 rescue dogs, Mt Pleasant is now our home. I grew up
with a variety of animals in the house at all times…dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, fish, gerbils and more! I’ve
been a nurse, mainly in the operating room since 1981 and Perioperative Nurse Manager at Roper Mt
Pleasant Hospital since it opened in 2010.

I went in for a massage and was introduced to Reiki over 23 years ago and loved it! I went on to study
and become certified at all levels and have been a Holy Fire Karuna Reiki Master since 2018. I love my
dogs, being outside and walking so I decided to step out of the hospital setting for a change of pace and
walk even more dogs on the weekend. I’m an avid reader of all types of books and usually have 3 or 4 books going at one time. My husband and I enjoy going out to eat and try to meet up with our grown boys at one of our many favorite local restaurants as often as possible.
