April Adventures For You and Your Pup

If there’s one month that Charleston truly shines, it’s April. The weather is warm (but not too hot), flowers are in full bloom, and the city’s event calendar is packed. Even better? Many of these events welcome your four-legged sidekick.

1. Charleston Farmers Market

A spring staple in Charleston, this market is perfect for a more relaxed outing with your dog. Check out local food vendors, artists, handmade goods and pet-friendly booths.

2. Spring Food Truck Festival

Date: April 4th

Time: 12-4pm

Location: Firefly Distillery

Leashed dogs are welcome at this family‑friendly outdoor food celebration where dozens of local food trucks gather on the distillery’s field to serve a wide variety of delicious eats alongside craft cocktails and drinks.

3. Barks & Bingo at Burtons Grill & Bar

Date: April 9th

Time: 6-8 pm

Location: Burtons Grill & Bar

Pet lovers and their pups can enjoy rounds of bingo, great food and drinks and prizes all while raising support for the Charleston Animal Society.

4. Woofstock - A Lowcountry Dog Music Festival

Date: April 11th

Time: 12-7pm

Location: Hanahan Amphitheater

Bring Fido to listen to live music and support local rescues at this annual event! There will be food trucks and local vendors.

5. Yappy Hour

Date: April 29th

Time: 5:30-7:30pm

Location: Wannamaker Park

Dogs and their owners are invited to the dog park for an evening of live music, cold beverages and fun!
