Spring is starting to bloom in the Lowcountry, and March is one of the BEST months to get outside with your pup in Charleston. From lively festivals to relaxed patio hangouts and play-date meetups, there’s no shortage of ways to enjoy the season with your furry sidekick.

Here are some tail-wagging events happening around town this March.

Enjoy waterfront dining while supporting a great cause — a portion of proceeds benefits the Charleston Animal Society. It’s a relaxed way to socialize with other dog lovers and let your pup enjoy the spring air.

2. 5K Fun Run

Location: Over the Horizon Brewery

After the run, participants can relax with drinks and enjoy the dog-friendly brewery atmosphere, which is perfect for active dog parents.

3. Palmetto Park Jam and Pup Adoptions

Location: Palmetto Island County Park

Kick back, tune in, and let the good vibes roll at Palmetto Park Jam! Join us for an easygoing afternoon of live music, local flavor, and Lowcountry charm.

4. St. Patrick's Day Block Party and Parade

Date: March 14th

Time: 12-5pm

Location: Park Place East, North Charleston

The celebration will feature live music, street vending and fare from Olde North Charleston restaurants, a Kid’s Zone, and more. The party, parade and parking are free to the public.

5. Paws in the Park

Date: March 21st

Time: 12-4pm

Location: Brittlebank Park

The highlight of March is Paws in the Park, hosted by the Charleston Animal Society. This is the largest animal-friendly event in South Carolina and an absolute must for dog lovers.

6. Paws and Pucks with the SC Stingrays

Date: March 22nd

Time: 3pm

Location: North Charleston Coliseum

Bring your furry friend with you for a hockey game! There will be fun for the whole family with specialty jerseys, character appearances, and furry friends as the Stingrays take the ice.

Charleston truly shines in spring, and March offers countless opportunities to get outdoors, meet fellow dog lovers, and create new memories with your pup. We hope to see you there!!
