Pawsome Events in June for You and Your Furry Friends


School is almost out and summer is here! Did you know Charleston is a haven for dog lovers? June is packed with dog-friendly events that you and your furry friend can enjoy together. Here’s a roundup of the best dog-friendly happenings in the local area this month!


1. Dogs, Donuts and Donations

  • Date: June 8, 20204

  • Location: Park Circle Pavilion

  • Description: Adopt a dog or bring your own! Donuts, raffle prizes, and a free, professional photo of you and your pet! All proceeds go to Pet Helpers.


2. Marion Square Jam

  • Date: June 8-9, 20204

  • Location: Marion Square

  • Description: Free event open to the public with local live music from 12-6pm. Bring a chair or blanket and your (furry) friends!


3. IOP Farmers Market and Food Truck Jam

  • Date: June 20, 2024

  • Location: Isle of Palms Recreation Department

  • Description: Featuring local farmers, artist, crafters, photographers, live music, specialty foods, food trucks, tinsel hair, face painting, balloon art and more! The market is held on the 3rd Thursday of the month June - October from 4pm - 7pm.


4. Reggae Nights Summer Concert

  • Date: June 21, 2024

  • Location: James Island County Park

  • Description: Gates open at 7:30pm, music begins at 8pm. Enjoy live music, food trucks and local craft vendors under the oaks! Dogs are welcome but must remain on a leash.


5. May the Dogs Be With You

  • Date: June 22, 2024

  • Location: Ashley River Park

  • Description: Free event with live music, dog lure course, food trucks, Star Wars characters, adoptable pups and kids activities. Park admission required.


From live music, to farmers markets, to fun dog courses, there are many activities for you and your furry companion to enjoy in the local area in June! Invite a friend and check out some of these fun events with your pup to kick off summer!
