Charleston’s mild autumn weather makes it a great time to get outside with your pup. The leaves are turning, the crowds are lighter than summer, and many outdoor venues are comfortable for dogs and their humans. With that in mind, here are some events coming up in November that you and your four-legged companion might enjoy!


1. Harvest Festival

Date: 11/1/25

Time: 11-5pm

Location: Johns Island County Park

Leashed dogs are welcome for a fun-filled day to celebrate the fall season. Guests will enjoy live bluegrass music from local bands, BBQ, food vendors, a craft market and much more!


2. Festival of Lights

Date: 11/14/25-12/31/25

Time: 5:30-10pm

Location: James Island County Park

Bring Fido to enjoy this fun Lowcountry holiday tradition from the comfort of your vehicle. During your driving tour through millions of twinkling lights, there will be magical surprises along the way.


3. Lowcountry Dog Magazine's The Big Bark

Date: 11/15/25

Time: 12-5pm

Location: Firefly Distillery

Lowcountry Dog Magazine is celebrating a birthday, and you're invited with your leashed pup. There will be live music as well as great food trucks and drinks, local vendors, and tons of adoptable dogs!


4. Pack Walk

Date: 11/23/25

Time: 5pm

Location: James Island County Park

Come out for a social & training-friendly “pack walk” hosted by Wild Wags Dog Training. Dogs on leash, with treats, water, and a good walk in a park setting.


5. Paws in the Park

Date: 11/23/25

Time: 12-4pm

Location: Brittlebank Park

This event Is presented by Charleston Animal Society marking their 150th anniversary; includes live music, a chili cook-off, food, drinks, an adoption zone — and dog-friendly fun!


Whether you’re a local or visiting Charleston with your pup, November offers some fun dog-friendly event options. From social walks to larger pet-community celebrations, this is a great month to get out and enjoy the Lowcountry with your best furry pal!
